MALAD, Ida- Jean Jones Byrd, 77, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2000, in the Oneida County Hospital.
She was born October 31, 1922, in Malad, a daughter of Lawrence and Marie Covert Jones. She was raised and educated in Malad and was a graduate of the University of Colorado Nursing School. She served in the Army Nursing Corps during World War II. In 1964 Jean received her life masters in duplicate bridge.
She was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church in Malad.
She was married to William ( Bill) Byrd, who preceded her in death.
