Jayne Williams Jardine

Our loving Grandma Jayne, 101, who lived from horse and buggy days through men walking on the moon to computers that fit in your hand, passed away peacefully, Thursday, July 19, 2001, at the Crest-wood Care Center in Ogden, Utah, from causes incident to age.
Jayne Williams Jardine, born January 18, 1900, in Malad, Idaho, was the seventh child of Arthur M. and Mary T. Williams.
She was raised and attended schools in Malad and spent summers in Deep Creek at the family ranch. Later she worked as a dental assistant.
She married James E. Jardine, May 8, 1921, and moved to the Jardine family home in Clarkston.
James and Jayne raised four daughters and made their living farming. Since her husband’s death, March 16, 1964, she has continued to manage their farm.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She faithfully served in many callings, including her work at the Logan Temple and a visiting teacher for over 60 years.
Jayne enjoyed crocheting, judging county fairs, quilting, traveling, and her family. Her memory remained sharp and until recently she has lived alone and maintained her own home.
She is survived by her three daughters, LaRene Clark. Malad; Marinda Swenson and Beverly Warner, Ogden: son-in-law, Verl L. Buttars. Clarkston; brother-in-law, Glen C. Bennett, California; 11 grandchildren. 41 great-grandchildren. 42 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Gwelda Buttars, infant son, two sons-in-law, Paul L. Clark and Joseph D. Swenson, and all ten of her brothers and sisters. The family would like to extend a special “thank-you” to the loving care given by the physicians, nurses and staff of the Oneida County Nursing Home and the Crestwood Care Center.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 23, 2001, at 1 p.m. at the Clarkston 1st Ward Chapel, 25 East 100 North. Friends and family may call Sunday evening, July 22, 2001, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan and on Monday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in the Clarkston City Cemetery
