Janice Christiansen Cosler

ESCONDIDO, California- Janice Christiansen Cosler, 58, died Tuesday, February 20, 2001, at her home in Escondido following an extended illness.
She was born to Ellis Marion and Grace Pearl Symons Christiansen on February 26, 1942, in Lava Hot Springs. She attended grade school in Lava, and graduated from Marsh Valley High School. She graduated from Idaho State University with a degree in teaching.
She married Robert Dean Cosler on April 20, 1962, in San Diego, California. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles, California, LDS Temple. They made their home in Escondido, Calif. They were blessed with a son Robert Glenn Cosler, on July 28, 1968.
Janice taught school at Potter Junior High in Fallbrook for 34 years. She retired in 1998 due to ill health.
Janice was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved sports and doing things with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, son and two grandchildren, Carly and Austin all of Escondido, Calif,; her parents, of Lava Hot Springs; two brothers, Darwin (Peggy) Christiansen, Pocatello, Glenn (Carolee) Christiansen, Blackfoot; four sisters, Ellen Christiansen, Lava Hot Springs, Marianne (Frank) Howe, Downey, Marilyn (Grant) Hanson, Houston, Texas, Renee (Michael) Walton, Salt Lake City, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Darlene, and a brother, Arthur.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 27, in Escondido, Calif.
