PARRY, JANET WILCOX, February 5, 1947 – May 1, 2008

The world shines a little less bright due to the passing away of Janet parry Wilcox. On May 1, 2008 she unexpectedly died at Davis Hospital from complications of Pulmonary Hypertension.

Born to Grant and Mae Parry, along with identical twin, Jean, on February 5, 1947, she was raised in Clearfield and graduated from Clearfield High School in 1965. After graduating from high school, she worked at Hill Air Force Base for a number of years.

After she married Val Wilcox in 1977, they lived in Cedar City, Utah and Cheyenne, WY, before moving to Washington where their beloved son, Justin was born. Together they worked very hard to provide a loving and proficient home. Because of her remarkable work ethics she was able to transfer to various government departments. She, Val and Justin moved from Washington to Wyoming and finally returning to and retiring in Utah after 30 years of government service.

Upon her retirement, she dedicated many hours of service to the Northwestern Shoshone Nation in which she was a proud member.

A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she was a shining example of charity, faith and non-judgmental love. Some of the other many talents Janet possessed were sewing, cross-stitch, organization, quilting and the lending of an open heart and hand without hesitation.

She is survived by her husband, Val, son Justin and daughter-in-law Megan. Her father, Grant Parry, brothers and sisters: Bruce Parry, Brian Parry, Jean Snow and Ann Gross.

Preceding her in death are one brother, Myron, and mother, Mae T. Parry, in-laws, Marion Wilcox and jack Wilcox.

Graveside services will be held May 5, 2008 at Clearfield City Cemetery.
