James Francis Wise

LAYTON – James Francis Wise, 71, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away Thursday, November 25, 1993, in Layton.

He was born April 19, 1922 in Corinne, Utah a son of Thomas F. and Annabelle Hammerland Wise.

He married Leona Petersen, August 22, 1942 in Malad, Idaho. traveling, carpentry and nature. With all his illnesses, he never had a short check.

He grew up in Corinne, served in World War II with the Army. Had lived in Layton for 11 years, Clearfield for 11 years and then returned to Layton for the last 26 years.

Throughout his life, he enjoy traveling, carpentry and nature. With all his illnesses, he never had a short check in over 35 years working at Hill Air Force Base. He loved his family and grandchildren more than anything else.

Surviving are his wife, one son, John F. Wise, Layton; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas M. (Virginia l) O’Grodnick, Drums, Pennsylvania; Mrs. Richard P. (Christine) Watkins, Layton three grandchildren, Ryan, Amber and Adam Watkins, all of Layton; one brother, Paul T. Wise, Taylor, Utah; five sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Nelson, Las Vegas; Mrs. Peggy Jensen, Bear River City; Mrs. Irene Roush, Pacifica, Calif.; Mrs. Gordon (Corinne) Hunt, Huntington Beach, Calif., Mrs. Bernice Carol Page, San Francisco, Calif.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 29, 1993 at 10 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1074 N Fairfield Rd., with Worshipful Master Roger Martin of Clearfield Gateway Lodge #29 conducting. The Eastern Star service will be conducted by Worthy Matron Sandra Shoemaker.

Friends may call one hour prior to services.
