JACK RAYMOND

Jack Raymond, 43, drowned in Wyoming

A former Malad LDS Stake seminary teacher, Jack Raymond, 43, was drowned April 24th [1973] in a reservoir near Powell, Wyo. Funeral services were conducted at Powell Friday and additional services at Logan Saturday. Burial was in Smithfield Cemetery.

Son of A. George and Connie Miles Raymond, he was reared near Logan and graduated from Utah State University, Logan, and Brigham Young University, Provo. He was director of the LDS Institute of Religion at Powell. He had been affiliated with the LDS Church education system for 16 years.

Mr. Raymond taught at Malad Seminary from 1959 to 1964 and was also summer recreation director during that time.

Survivors include his widow, the former Robbie Baise; six children and his father.
