Bright Young Boy Called By Death
Impressive funeral services for J. D. Price, Jr. ten-year-old son of Ctate Commander J. D. Price and Mrs. Price, were conducted at the high school gymnasium Thursday at 11 a.m. by Fathers King and Herman of the Catholic church of Pocatello.
In addition to the impressive church ceremony, an eloquent address was delivered by Father King, piano music was furnished by Professor S. M. Powell, solos were sung by Miss. Leonore Woozley, accompanied by Miss Blanche Deschamps and David Thomas, accompanied by Wallace Smith.
The floral offerings were many and most beautiful.
Fellow students of J. D. Jr., acted as pall bearers and also carried the flowers.
J. D. Jr., was born at Malad on Sept. 27, 1938[1928], and is survived by his parents, two sisters and a brother, Ila Mae, Analyle[sic] and Kelley Price.
He died at the Oneida hospital Monday morning [Nov. 28, 1938] following an operation Saturday afternoon for an acute attack of appendicitis.
Among those attending the services from out of town were: Heman L. Price, Mrs. John R. Price and Mrs. Elaine Hamersly of Lake View, Oregon, Mrs. Alice Pierson of Brooks, California, Thomas Kelley of Wenatchee, Wash.
Mr. and Mrs. Ob. Johnson of Downey, Mr. and Mrs. M. P. Goudy and Mr. and Mrs. Fred E. Ring of Idaho Falls; Mrs. Idona Ross of Driggs: Mr. and Mrs. Rev. Lindley of Arbon; Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Kent of Lewiston; and the Reverend Paul F. D’Mortimore and James Bangs of Pocatello.
