John Boyd Price

RENO, NV – J. Boyd Price, 85, of Reno passed away October 7, 2002. Mr. Price was born in Malad, ID and raised in the Arbon Valley, ID area. He graduated from Montana State University in Missoula, MT with a degree in forestry. After serving in the Navy during World War II, he worked for the US Dept. of Agriculture as a range conservationist in the Soil Conservation Service, and moved to Reno in 1964. After his retirement in 1972, he worked for two years sin Swaziland, South Africa in agricultural development.

He was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing, hunting and golf, as well as bowling with family and friends. His wife and he traveled extensively throughout the world during their lifetimes.

He was married to Dora Lenore Bullock in 1940 and celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary with her before she passed away in July of this year. He was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in various capacities during his lifetime. His wife, parents and four siblings preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughters, Gail Inman of Reno, and Patricia Spoon of Reno; his son, Alan Price of Westminster, CO; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will b held October 11 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Reno. Burial will be in the family plot at Mountainview Cemetery in Pocatello, ID.
