Ivan Floyd Crabtree

Ivan Floyd Crabtree, 79, passed away on May 18, 2016. Ivan is survived by his wife, Dixie of Twin Falls, Idaho; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Pam and his much loved grandson, Trey of Kimberly, Idaho; brother Eldon Crabtree of Emmett, Idaho.

Ivan was born on September 23, 1936 to William Floyd and Hazel Freemyer Crabtree in Cheyenne County Kansas. He grew up on a farm with his family and later they moved to California.

Ivan joined the Air Force near the end of the Vietnam War and was stationed in Saigon and the Philippines.

Ivan retired from Idaho Power after working there for several years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and a good bar-b-que. He received his greatest gift when his grandson, Trey was born. Grandpa started tending him at nine weeks old. They spent many hours having lots of fun together.

We want to thank all of the employees at Applegate Assisted Living in Buhl for the excellent care they gave to Ivan.

A Family viewing and service will be held on Tuesday, May 24 at the Downey LDS Church in Downey, Idaho at 10:30a.m. with a public Graveside service in the Downey City Cemetery at 12 noon where Military Rites will be accorded.
