Irving Camp (Birth – 1912)

Irving Camp, 54, a former Malad resident, died Friday, Dec. 24, (1966) of natural causes at his home in Sacramento, California.

A photographer for a Sacramento newspaper, The Bee, Mr. Camp was buried at Sacramento Monday, Dec. 27th (1966).

A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Camp, he was born at St. John in Oneida County and had been a newspaperman since leaving _ at age 15 to go to California. A photographer for the Seasbees during World War II, Mr. Camp gained national recognition as a newspaper photographer during his career with The Bee.

In addition to his wife, Mary Ellabell, Mr. Camp is survived by his daughters, Mrs. Shirley Hiteman and Mrs. Beverly Smith, both of Sacramento; four granddaughters; brothers and sisters, Mrs. Virginia Goddard and Vern Camp, both of Redding, California; Richard Camp of the San Francisco Bay region; Mrs. Maureen Thomas, Buena Park, Calif.; Wilson Camp, Arleta, California; Marne Camp, Brox, New York.
