MALAD, IDA.—Funeral services for Mrs Irene Ruth Evans Christiansen, 40, who died at Marsh Valley Hospital in Downey Friday evening (26 Sep 1952) after a short illness, were to be held at Downey Ward chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Lat¬ter-day Saints Monday at 1 p.m. with J. Milton Hyde, bishop, presiding.

A daughter of Charles W. and Mary Jane Owens Evans, she was born at Malad Nov. 21, 1911. A member of the LDS Church, she made her home in Downey most of her life. She was mar¬ried to Orion Christiansen in September, 1929.

Survivors include her husband, Downey; four daughters and a son, Mrs. Lois Jen¬sen, Layton, Utah; Mrs. Cherry Criddle of Wyoming; Dee, Kay and Ruth Lyn of Downey; four brothers, Charles Lynn Evans and Jack O. Evans, both of Downey, Paul Rex Evans, Pocatello; Tom Cecil Evans, Murray, Utah; five grandchildren.

Burial was to be in Downey Cemetery, directed by Malad Funeral Service, Inc.
