Hyrum Howard Peterson

Hyrum Howard Peterson, age 88, died Sunday, August 31, 1986 at the McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden of a stroke. He was born October 7, 1897 in Snowville, Utah, a son of Hyrum and Ester Jane Arbon Peterson.

He married Relia Otte on August 26, 1929 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died October 16, 1969.

He was reared and educated in Snowville, Utah, Samaria, Idaho and Brigham City, Utah.

He had lived in Pleasantview, Idaho and Thatcher, Utah.

He was involved with the Farm Bureau and Oneida County Posse. He owned and operated a farm in Thatcher. He was a member of the Thatcher Penrose First Ward LDS Church. He was a high priest, stake missionary and home teacher.

He is survived by four sons and two daughters, Hyrum H. Peterson of Ogden, Utah; Lynn Peterson of Pleasant Grove, Utah; Leo K. Peterson of Rexburg, Idaho and E. Ross Peterson of Thatcher, Utah; Jeanne Hulet, Stansbury Park, Utah; Mrs. Richard M. Diann Murray Littleton, Colorado; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, one brother, Hyrum Peterson, Malad, Idaho and two sisters, Mrs. Helena Simons, Salt Lake City, Utah; Mrs. May Leola Boiley, California. He was preceded in death by one son, Clark Peterson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 3 at 1:00 p.m. at the Thatcher Penrose LDS Ward Chapel, Reed Summers officiating. Interment will be in the Logan Cemetery.
