Funeral Thursday for Henry T. Stayner, 82

Funeral services will be conducted at Benson Funeral Home, Thursday, April 26th, at 1 p.m. for Henry Turner Stayner, age 82, who died Sunday of natural causes in a hospital at Huntington Beach, California. Bishop Gene Edwards will officiate.

Friends may call at Benson Funeral Home prior to services. Burial will be in Malad City Cemetery.

Mr. Stayner was born Sept. 30, 1890, in Salt Lake City, a son of Arthur and Elizabeth Chamberlain Stayner. He married Sarah Ann Jones, May 10, 1916, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Mr. Stayner received his education in Malad schools and was an active member of the LDS Church. He served as a Sunday school teacher for several years and in the MIA in both the St. John and Malad Second wards.

The Stayner family lived at St John for many years where they operated a ranch.

Surviving are his widow, Huntington Beach; two sons, H. Milo, Jay Lynn, both Malad; six daughters, Mrs. Theodore (Gloria) Johnson, Huntington Beach; Mrs. Lloyd (Ruth) Hyde, Payette; Mrs. Preston (Venice) Strong, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Ralph (Sarah) Western, Orem, Utah; Mrs. Richard (Naomi) Gibbs, Fresno, California; Mrs. Paul (Genevieve) Lesser, Castle Rock, Colorado; 31 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters, Richard Stayner, Los Angeles; Kenneth Stayner, San Carlos, Calif.; Arthur Stayner, Mrs. Sarah Lund, Mrs. Jack (Lucy) Dey, all of Santa Monica, Calif.; Mrs. Rollie (Emma) Brannon, Buhl.
