HENRY RODERICK
Henry Roderick, 77, Honeyville, Utah, formerly of Malad and Portage, Utah, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2000, at his home, with his family present.

He was born March 12, 1923, in Portage, Utah, a son of Isaac P. and Bertha Naomi John Roderick. He was raised and educated in Portage and attended Bear River High School. Henry was a veteran of WWII. He married Durene Bernice Williams on May 26, 1946 and they solemnized their marriage in the Logan LDS Temple June 19, 1965. Henry worked at the U. & I. Sugar Factory and enjoyed working on his farm in Portage with his family, until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting in his younger days. His real enjoyment was spending time with his family, working the farm, raising cattle, riding his horses and helping others. Henry was very giving and seldom wanting.

He is survived by his wife, Durene; four sons: Gary (Geraldine) Roderick; Bary (Kathy) Roderick; Bruce (Sonja) Roderick, all of Portage; Dale (Betty) Roderick, Malad; four daughters; Trudy (Jim) Rock Nibley, Utah; Doylene (Alan) Bourne, East Garland, Utah; Gayla (Travis) Clark, Portage; Tamra (Paul) Williams, Rangely, Colorado; 22 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren; two sisters: Bertha Johnson, Thatcher, Utah; and Flow (George) Gardner, Pocatello.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters: Lavon, Margaret, and Ruth; two brothers: Deon and William; and one granddaughter, Wendi Jo Roderick.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 13, 2000, at the Portage LDS Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Portage Cemetery.
