FUNERAL SERVIES TUESDAY FOR HELEN V. KLABO THOMAS
Funeral services were conducted here Tuesday at Benson Funeral Home for Mrs. Helen Vivian Klabo Thomas, age 66, of Escondido, CA, who died there August 5, 1971.
Dennis Evans offered the family prayer; James Blake, the invocation and Dale Daniels, the benediction. H. Ward Thomas was the speaker and Adele Peterson read the obituary. LaMar Thomas officiated at the service. Vocal solos were presented by Sue Thomas and Jenkin L. Palmer, accompanied by Trudy Ward and Janice Palmer, who also played prelude and postlude music.
Dedicatory prayer at Malad City Cemetery was offered by Raiford G. Benson. Flowers were carried by relatives.
Casket bearers were H.W. Steffens, Paul Ostyn, Keith Evans, Evan Jones, Dewey Jones and Mont Swenson.
The burial was directed by Benson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Thomas was born August 5, 1905 in Hillsboro, ND, a daughter of Hilmer and Jeannette Brotham Klabo. She married John Cleon Thomas on November 11, 1928 in Kalispell, MT.
She was a member of the Lutheran Church and had for many years been the secretary of the dean of education at the University of Idaho. Following retirement, she moved to California.
Surviving are her husband of Escondido; two sons, Cleon W. Thomas, Anaconda, MT and Robert Dean Thomas, with the Navy at San Diego, CA; six grandchildren; two brothers, Walter Klabo, San Francisco, CA, and Elnar Klabo, Seattle, WA.
