AMERICAN FALLS — Hazel Morgan Pritchett, 65, American Falls, died at her home Friday [Aug. 18, 1983] following a lingering illness.

She was born July 24, 1918, at Malad to William and Nellie DeGooger Morgan. She was reared and educated in Malad. She attended beauty school at Pocatello. In 1940, she moved to American Falls and worked in the Indian Springs Natatorium. Later she worked at M&H Cafe.

On March 9, 1942, she married B. G. “Ike” Pritchett at American Falls. She worked at LaJade Beauty Shop for several years and worked at various area businesses. In 1974, she began working at First Security Bank in American Falls, where she was employed at the time of her death.

She was a member of the LDS Church and was an active volunteer for the American Cancer Society.

Survivors include her husband, American Falls; two daughters, Mrs. Warren (Sandra) Lasley, Rockland, and Mrs. Melvin (Karen) Savage, Umatilla, Ore.[Oregon]; a brother Ken Morgan, American Falls; a sister, Gertie[sic] Reld, Jerome; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the LDS Stake Center in American Falls with Bishop Keith Phillips officiating. Burial will be in the Fallsview Cemetery under the direction of Davis Mortuary. Friends may call Monday from 2-5 p.m. and 7-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 8-11 a.m. at the mortuary and then from noon until service time in the Relief Society room of the church.
