HAZEL TOLMAN

Hazel C. Anderson Tolman, 87, died April 15, 1980 at Bannock Memorial Hospital after a lingering illness.

She was born April 15, 1893 at Farmington, UT to John R. and Marion Turner Clawson.

On April 10, 1912, she married Austin H. Anderson in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Anderson died May 23, 1961. She married Cyrus C. Tolman in January, 1964 at Pocatello.

She lived 4 ½ years in Butte, MT, settled in Tyhee for a year, then lived in Salt Lake City, UT, moving to Pocatello in 1919.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various capacities including teacher and primary president, Young Ladies Mutual teacher and counselor, Relief Society counselor and president, also visiting teacher. She enjoyed singing when she was younger, and sang in duets with her husband and also with the Singing Mothers. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Cyrus C. Tolman; a son, Austin H. Anderson; three daughters, Mrs. W. Scott (Ruth) Christensen, and Mrs. Alfred (Donna) Francesconi, both of Pocatello, and Mrs. Thomas (Faye) Denkers, Salt Lake City, UT; 16 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; two step daughters, Karma Scott, Pingree, and Mrs. Martell (Theda) Kilpack, Idaho Falls; two sisters, Constance Roberts, Meridian, and Mrs. Jack Lewis, Uniontown, PA. Two brothers preceded her in death and two daughters died in infancy.

Funeral services will be in the LDS 10th Ward Chapel on Gwen Drive with Bishop Larry Christensen officiating. Burial will be in Mountainview Cemetery.
