HANNAH MAY JONES

Hannah May Williams Jones, 70, died Friday morning (October 1954) at the Oneida Hospital after an extended illness.

A daughter of William D. and Hannah Thomas Williams, Mrs. Jones was born at Malad, April 3, 1884. Reared and educated in Malad she was married to Samuel D. Jones. He died 25 years ago. A member of the LDS Church, Mrs. Jones was a Relief Society teacher for many years. She was also a member of the Native Daughters of Idaho Pioneers.

Surviving are a nephew, Lynn Clark, whom Mrs. Jones reared; a sister, Mrs. Mary Vaughan, Malad, and a brother, Daniel T. Williams, Arcadia, California.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 1 at 1 p.m. in the Malad Second ward LDS Chapel with Bishop A. G. Willie in charge.

The prayer at the home was offered by Marvin Jones. Moyle Facer offered the invocation; Parry Harrison, benediction; Mrs. Myra Jean John played the prelude and postlude music; and J. Guy Benson gave the dedicatory prayer. The speakers were W. W. Thomas, Thos. W. Richards and Bishop Willie. Musical numbers consisted of a duet, Pearl Monson and Lyle Deschamps, accompanied by Mrs. John; vocal solo, Keith Evans, accompanied by Mrs. Evans; violin duet Mrs. Fern Willie and Mrs. Spencer Hill, accompanied by Lynda Willie.

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Spencer and son, Wayne, and daughter, Mrs. Darlene Hubbard, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Vaughan and son, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Conley, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Brown, Bill Williams, Mr. and Mrs. DeVon Daniels, Mrs. Shirley Montgomery, Mrs. J. B. Maraberger, Mrs. Charlene McKenzie, Ogden.
