Gus Forsberg

Gus Forsberg 87, died December 4, 1997 at the Bear River Valley Care Center in Tremonton.
He was born January 31, 1910 in Brighton, Utah, a son of August Anderson and Hilda Josephine Hermanson Forsberg.
He married Margaret Tams, January 17, 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died June 26, 1949. He married Ethel Rogers Forsberg, September 29, 1952 in Garland. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. She died January 11, 1997.
Gus lived in Brighton, Riverside, Tremonton, Malad, Idaho and Garland. He attended Bear River High School. He was a member of the Garland City Council. He owned a Tremonton bowling alley, the G&E Café in Tremonton, Gus’ Market in Garland, and also Forsberg Meat Processing and Cold Storage Plant.
Gus was an active member and High Priest in the LDS Church. He had served as a home teacher and on the ward activities committee.
He is survived by three son, Max Tams (Jo) Forsberg; Charlotte, North Carolina; Lynn Dell (Teina) Forsberg, Clearfield; Dr. Farrell G. (Vicki) Forsberg, Salt Lake City; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Also surviving is one sister, Ruth Bowcutt, Salt Lake City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 8, 1997, 11 a.m. at the Garland Tabernacle, 140 W. Factory Garland with Bishop Phillip Lee officiating. Friends may call Sunday, December 7 from 6-8 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 No. 100 E. Tremonton and Sat. from 9:30 -10:45 a.m. at the church.
Interment in the Riverside Cemetery.
