Funeral Tuesday For Grover Clark

Funeral services for Grover Cleveland Clark, 64, who died Saturday morning (14 Mar 1953) at the Oneida Hospital of a heart ailment, were conducted Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. in the Malad Second ward chapel with Bishop T. A. John of the Cherry Creek ward officiating.

The prayer at the home was given by Joseph A. Jones; the invocation by Leo D. Williams and the benediction by Benjamin Lundberg. Mrs. Emma Ward played the prelude and postlude. Other musical numbers were a vocal quartet, Ward brothers; vocal duet, Verne John and Mazie Williams; song, Eldon Corbridge. Speakers were H. E. Thomas, D. P. Woodland and Bishop John. W. W. Thomas gave the obituary. Interment was in the Malad cemetery under the direction of the Benson Funeral Home.

The grave was dedicated by James Vaughan.

A son of James Charles Clark and Sarah Helen Moon Clark, Mr. Clark was born at East Portage, Utah, July 5, 1888. He was reared in Malad Valley and received his education in the Woodruff elementary schools. A farmer and stock raiser during his adult life, Mr. Clark was also a willing contributor to activities of the LDS Church.

Survivors include the following brothers and sisters: Frank Clark, Malad; Mrs. Ella Green, McCammon; Mrs. Carrie Vaughan, Shelley; Hugh L. Clark, Malad; Leonard Clark, Malad; Mrs. Tillie Hoskins, Blackfoot.
