

Greg Helms
Greg Helms, 61. died on August 12.2013 at the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho from a massive brain aneurysm.
He was born February 17. 1952 to the late Richard Helms and Glee Helms in Akron, Ohio. He was the middle son of three boys. He married Carrie Gill in 1986. and they were later divorced. From that union, two children were born: Melissa, who is an R.N. and an extremely talented pianist, and a son, Riley, who is in the bee business. The children have many fond memories of their father.
Greg started his education in Kokomo, Indiana where the family had moved. When he was in the third grade they moved to Anaheim, California where he completed his education. He graduated from Loara High School where he was a star football player, resulting in discomfort from knee injuries in his later life.
He then studied abroad in France, and upon his return to the states he attended Cal State Fullerton where he graduated with two degrees. He then attended Western Law School of Orange, California. He had a successful law practice having offices in Irvine. California and Exeter. California. Upon his retirement he moved to Malad five years ago to be with his mother. He was a great outdoorsman, and loved to fish. Greg had an exciting and colorful life to the end.
He will be sorely missed by his mother. Glee Helms, his daughter, Melissa and husband Dr. William Barreto of Huntington Beach, California, and his son Riley, of Exeter, California, his brothers Rick (Dawnette) and Blaine (Shiloh).
His dad preceded him in death in 1988 and now they are together once again.
Wilks Funeral Home in Pocatello. Idaho was in charge of the arrangements. There will be a memorial service at a later date.
