Grace Evelyn Hill Coles

Grace Evelyn Hill Coles, 79, of Cherry Creek (Malad) passed away Monday June 30, 1997 in the Oneida County Hospital.
She was born July 31, 1917 in Lorenzo, Idaho, a daughter of George and Lillian Bate Hill. She grew up and was educated in Lorenzo, and as a young woman had worked in the local seed pea warehouses.
She married Milton Daniel Coles, March 14, 1935 in Pocatello, Idaho, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.
They lived in the Rigby area, then moved to Ogden, Utah, where they resided for forth years. Mrs. Coles worked for several years for the American Linen Company. Since 1981 they had made their home in Malad.
She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, traveling and being with her family.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She is survived by her husband of Cherry Creek; one son, Dennis (Diane) Coles of Ogden, Utah; one daughter, Evelyn (Kurt) Gronau of Cherry Creek, 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grand children; 1 brother, John (Mary) Hill of Ogden; 2 sisters, Josephine (Don) Roten of Ogden and Virtue Burton (all of Malad), currently serving an LDS Mission in Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, three sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held Thursday July 3, 1997 at 2:00 noon in the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery.
