 Gertrude Lorraine Murphy Henderson Hall,77 778 Fir St., died Wednesday morning, July 12, 1995 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
  She was born September 3, 1917 at Pocatello, Idaho to Horace A. and Florence Baker Murphy. She attended schools in Pocatello, graduating from Pocatello High School, and from Idaho State University with a bachelor's degree. She then received her master's degree as a remedial reading specialist in 1973 from Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah.
 She married Lynn Hill in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on September 15, 1984. Gertrude taught school in Teton, St. Anthony, Jerome, Gooding and Pocatello.  She enjoyed piano, knitting, embroidering, genealogy, reading, and dancing.
 An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she had served as chorister, teacher,Relief Society counselor, on the activities committee, and had served a full time missions in Dallas, Texas, Fresno, California, and with her husband in Vermont, a stake mission in Pocatello, as temple ordinance  worker in the Idaho Falls Temple, and currently was serving a mission in Fort Hall, where she was teaching literacy classes.
 She was a past member of the Mental Health Association both at state and national levels, PTA vice president, and the Republican party.
  She is survived by her husband, Lynn of Pocatello; a son David and his wife Dixie Henderson, Twin Falls: a daughter Mrs. Welton (Trudy) Ward, of Malad, Idaho; four stepsons and daughter-in-law, Duane and Kay Hall, Richard and Kathy Hall, all of Pocatello and Arlin and Lu Hall, Austin, Texas, one stepdaughter and son-in-law Lynette and Paul Sharp, Camarillo, California; 30 grandchildren; three sisters, Miss Nina Arlene Murphy, Chicago, Illinois, Mrs. Tilton (Pat) O'Brian, San Jose, California; and Mrs. Homer (Barbra Je3an) Semons, Pocatello; also surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
 Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 15, 1995 at 11 a.m. In Pocatello LDS 16th Ward, 550 West Cedar Street, with Bishop Ron Atkinson officiating. The family will receive friends from 7p.m. To 9 p.m.  Friday evening, July 14 at the Henderson Funeral Home, 431 North 15th Ave., and also at the church from 10 a.m. Until service time on Saturday. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
 In Gertrude's memory her request was for her friends to complete five extra endowments at the temple of their choice during 1995.
