George LeR Burton, 1930 – 2011, died peacefully in the arms of his family, Saturday, January 29, 2011. Mr. Burton was born in Holbrook, Idaho in 1930, educated in the arts at BYU, served an LDS mission in Minnesota and was married to Mary Elizabeth Wiltbank.

He is survived by four siblings, eight children and 64 grand and great-grandchildren.

LeR Burton was well known for his extensive knowledge of the Scriptures, being an outstanding realtor and humorous performer. He enthusiastically recited entertaining poems at every opportunity.

The Memorial Service is Friday at 11:00 a.m., February 4th at 2080 E. 5165 S., Holladay, Utah. A visitation will be held one hour prior from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the ward house.
