George L. Andersen dies March 26, 1981

George L. Andersen, 96, died on March 26, 1981 in Hawthorne, California where he had been living with his daughter, Cleo Donnelly.

He was born February 22 (1885) in Mendon, Utah. He married Elizabeth L. Shelton on October 26, 1910 in the Logan Temple. She died in 1962 in California where they had moved upon Mr. Andersen’s retirement. He was preceded in death by a son, George L., who died in 1956.

Survivors include two sons, Cleve, of Los Angeles and Don S. of Sequim, Washington. Mr. Andersen was a farmer and grain dealer in Malad for many years and was associated with the Soil Conservation Program and relocation Centers, WPA., and other government programs. He was one of the early settlers of the Arbon Area.
