Funeral Services held for Gean G. Pilgrim

Gean George Pilgrim, 57, Harrisville, died Saturday, September 15, 1984, in Manorlands, Summit County, of a heart attack.

He was born December 27, 1926, in Malad, Idaho, a son of John H. and Violet Hadfield Pilgrim.

He married Lola Williams on June 2, 1948, in Ogden, Utah. The marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on November 21, 1949.

He was reared and educated in Malad and had attended Weber State College.

He had lived in Malad, Laramie, Wyo., and Kemmerer, Wyo. He moved from Ogden to Harrisville 31 years ago.

He was veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Army Medical Corps in Germany.

He was a High Priest in the Harrison 1st LDS Ward. He had served as Elders Quorum President, finance clerk and as a Stake Missionary and Stake Clerk in the Farr West Stake. He had been an active ordinance worker in the Ogden Temple for many years.

He had been employed as a cutter for McBee Systems in Ogden.

Surviving are his widow of Harrisville, one son and four daughters: John Mark Pilgrim, Roy, Utah; Kathleen Brown, Kearns, Utah; Mrs. Paul (Joy) Stephens, Harrisville, Utah; Mrs. Russell (Julie) Facer, Plain City, Utah; Mauri Pilgrim, Harrisville, and 13 grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers and two sisters, Max Pilgrim, Malad; Lawrence Pilgrim, Bountiful, Utah; Margaret Treasure, Malad; and Helen Maag[sic] of Salt Lake City, Utah.

He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, September 19, at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, with Bishop Keith E. Hardy of the Harrisville 1st Ward officiating.

Interment was at the Washington Heights Memorial Park.
