Gary Lee Talbot

Gary Lee Talbot was born in Malad, Idaho on January 2, 1939, and passed away in San Diego, California on October 20, 2007. Gary loved and cared very deeply for his family and their welfare, especially his wife, Peggy Talbot, who survived him. Gary is also survived by four children: Kirk Talbot and his wife, Amy, of Salt Lake City, Utah; Christopher Talbot of Murrieta, California; Angela Boyd and her husband John, and Laura Talbot, both of San Diego.

Gary was blessed with five beautiful grandchildren, whom he loved dearly: Kirk, Jr. (20), Parker (15), Shelby (7), Joshua (6), Sophie (3), and Maggie (1). Gary is also survived by his mother, Lillian Talbot, and brother Talbot, both of Malad, Idaho, and his sister Camille Uhler and her Husband, Fred, of Seattle, Washington. His father was Andrew Talbot, who passed away in May 2006.

Gary graduated from Idaho State and had a distinguished career working Division President of Waste Management, Vice President of Operations of Dorado Growth Industries, Division President of shell Oil, and District Manager of International Harvester Company. He later worked as a consultant in several different aspects including cost reduction analysis, and most currently in his home-based business of providing pre-paid legal and identity theft protection products. Gary was active in several associations including Junior Achievement, Better Business Bureau, Chamber of Commerce, and Rotary. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Most importantly, Gary was most known for his kind words of encouragement, his sincere interest in the well-being of others, an incredible sense of humor and his ever-present kind smile.

Services will be held on Friday, November 2, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at the Pomerado LDS Chapel, 15705 Pomerado Road in Poway, followed by burial services at Dearborn Cemetery in Poway, California.
