Fred A. Sparks Dies Wednesday Night

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p. m. at the Malad stake tabernacle for Fred A. Sparks, 61, who died Wednesday about midnight at his home in Malad while sleeping.

Mr. Sparks was born October 18, 1885 at Suffolk county, England and came to Ogden, Utah with his parents. He moved to Malad about 35 years ago and purchased a laundry which he operated until November, 1946.

He was married to Sylvia Mires, November 17, 1905 at Ogden, Utah. His wife and four daughters survive him. Two children, a son and daughter, preceded him in death. His surviving daughters are Alice S. McKay, Malad; Dorothy E. Blaisdell, Fairfield, California; Maxine Bartholomew, Calistoga, California; Lois H. Witherspoon, Steamboat Springs, Colorado. He is also survived by five grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Dwight G. Baird, Detroit, Michigan; Arthur Sparks, Mrs. Clarence Flinders, Ogden, Utah; Mrs. Sylvester Hall and Mrs. Wallace White, Evanston, Wyoming.

Burial will be at Ogden, Utah.
