FRANKLIN M. JONES

Funeral services for Franklin M. Jones, 77 who died Monday (1952) at the Oneida hospital after a brief illness, are being held in the Malad Second Ward LDS chapel today, Thursday, at 2 p.m. with Bishop Golden Willie officiating.

Mr. Jones was born at Malad, January 9, 1875, a son of David R. and Ada Morgan Jones. His early life was spent attending local schools and helping on the family farm. He later attended the U.A.C at Logan from 1898 to 1900. He was married to Dora Jones at Malad, May 20, 1905. Mr. Jones was a charter member of the Modern Woodmen of America in Malad, and throughout his life he maintained an active interest in community affairs. He retired in 1938 from his farming and stock raising activities and had since resided in Malad City.

Survivors include his widow of Malad and three daughters, Mrs. Allen S. Janssen, Moscow, Idaho; Mrs. Warren H. Brown, McCall, Idaho; Mrs. Earl F. Chandler, Boise, Idaho, and six grandchildren.
