FERN THOMAS

Fern Nielson Thomas, 79, died June 27, 1984 at her home in Provo. She was born August 20, 1904 in Hunter to Hanna Deacon and John Nielson. She married Evan Thomas on April 12, 1929 in LaGrande, OR. Her husband preceded her in death July 25, 1983.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Following her marriage, she lived in Malad, ID, where her husband worked. She and her husband moved to Provo in 1940 and owned and managed Thomas’, a ladies specialty store.

She was a member of the Riverside Country Club.

Surviving are a son, Evan Scott Thomas of Provo; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a twin sister, Mrs. Faye Morgan, Magna; and two other sisters and a brother: Mrs. James (Bertha) Newton; Lucille Sutton, Ogden; and Willard Nielson, Hunter.

Funeral services were held June 30th at the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, Provo. Burial was at Eastlawn Memorial Hills, Provo.
