FERN M. TOVEY

Fern Margene Tovey, 59, of Malad died September 26, 1990 at her home following a short illness.

She was born September 26, 1931 to Dan and Eunice Ward Tovey. She grew up and was educated in Malad and attended the University of Idaho, Brigham Young University, Utah State University and Harvard. At 19 years old, she was one of Idaho’s youngest teachers and taught fifth grade in the Franklin School District.

She also taught school at Idaho State University and at schools in Utah, Idaho, Washington and Virginia.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she held various positions.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Harold G. (Norma) Connell, Annandale, VA; and Lois Bethers, Losa Altos, CA; 12 nieces and ne[hews and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services were held September 29, 1990 in the Malad LDS Third Ward Chapel with Counselor Spence Horsley officiating.
