Services Thursday For Mrs. Hartvigsen
Funeral service will be held Thursday at Malad Second LDS Ward for Mrs. Evelyn J. Williams Hartvigsen, age 51, wife of State Representative Lester A. Hartvigsen, who died March 4th of natural causes in a Salt Lake City hospital.
Bishop Gordon Crowther will officiate. Friends may call at Benson Funeral Home Wednesday evening and Thursday prior to service. Burial will be in Malad City Cemetery. Funeral service will begin at 1 p.m.
Mrs. Hartvigsen was born at Malad April 27, 1917, to John Oliver and Eve Jardine Williams. She was a graduate of Malad High School and attended the LDS Business College in Salt Lake City. Prior to her marriage, she was employed by Oneida Soil Conservation Service. She was married to Lester A. Hartvigsen on Jan. 1, 1942, at Pocatello.
An active member of the LDS Church, she had taught Sunday school for 14 years.
Surviving are her husband, Malad; three sons, James L., Student at Northwestern University, Chicago; Eric, University of Utah, Salt Lake City; Kim, Dixie College, St. George, Utah; four brothers, Homer D. Williams, Boise; Jack L. Williams, Burlingame, Calif.; James J. Williams, Fs. Collins, Colo.; Robert B. Williams, Logan.
