FALLIS, EVAN, December 20, 1922 – October 5, 1940
Funeral services were held Tuesday for Evan Fallis, 17, who died at a hospital in Nampa on October 5, 1940. Services were held at the home of his mother, Mrs. Wm. Fallis with Lawrence Budge of the Third Ward bishopric presiding.
Speakers were: president Thomas W. Richards and Atty. Josh Evans of Logan, and musical numbers were given by Mrs. Margaret E. Jones. The invocation was by John G. Evans and benediction by Bishop Junius Crowther of the First Ward. Interment was in the Malad cemetery with Patriarch Wm. H. Richards dedicating the grave.
Evan Leon Fallis was born in Malad, December 20, 1922, the son of William and Sarah Stuart Fallis. An invalid from birth, he was taken to the hospital at Nampa nine years ago where he has been treated until the time of his death.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Sarah Fallis, three sisters, Mrs. Mae Geick of Rock Rapids, IA; Mrs. Norman Peterson of Ogden; and Miss Leona Fallis of Malad; five brothers, Wm. Delore, Asa, George and Dan Fallis of Malad; and his grandmother, Mrs. John G. Evans of Malad.
Out of town people who came for the services were Mr. and Mrs. Louis Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Peterson of Ogden; Mrs. Valeria Parkinson of Rexburg; Atty. Josh T. Evans of Logan and Miss Beth Bush of Richfield.
