Ester L. Pehrson

RUPERT – Ester Luella Pehrson, 90, of Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of Tetonia, died Nov. 29, 1992, at a Las Vegas hospital.

She was born May 10, 1902, at Malad, to Richard and Ester Dredge.

On Oct. 5, 1921, she married George Henry Pehrson in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They made their home in the Teton Basin area. After her husband died Aug. 26, 1962, she moved to Rupert. She later moved to Las Vegas to be with her daughter.

She was an active member of the LDS Church. She loved music and sang for programs and on many other occasions. She also en­joyed singing in the church choir.

Survivors include her children, Laura Lee Anderson and Ralph Pehrson, both of Las Vegas, Wayne Pehrson of Rupert, and Delray Pehrson of Coeur d’Alene; a sister and five brothers, Ruth Hogan of Salt Lake City, Clair Dredge of Clearfield, Utah, Jay Dredge of Las Vegas, Roy Dredge and Doyle Dredge, both of Shelley, and Talbert Dredge of Oregon; 18 grand­children; 32 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers.

Funeral services will be Friday at 9 a.m. at the Rupert LDS 3rd Ward with Bishop Lynn Hunsaker officiating. Visitation will be from noon through the evening Thursday at Hansen Mortuary Chapel, 710 Sixth St., in Rupert, and Friday for one hour before services at the church.

Graveside services will be in Idaho at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Tetonia Cemetery.
