Ernest “E.A.” Moser, 86, of Inkom, passed away Thursday, Feb. 27, 1997, in the Bannock Regional Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 5, 1910, in Daniels, where he was raised and educated. He was the son of Ernest Rensel and Johanna Kummer Moser.
On Sept. 16, 1939 he married Hazel Hancock in Pocatello. She passed away Sept. 5, 1980. They made their home in the Inkom area, where he farmed, ranched and raised sheep. He had also worked for the Pacific Fruit Express.
Ernest loved spending time in the outdoors where he enjoyed fishing, hunting and his horses.
He is survived by his three daughters: Mrs. Max (LaRue) Whitworth of Pocatello; Mrs. Marlin (Neta Faye) Kent of Inkom; and Mrs. Maynard (Johanna) Wallace of Inkom; eight grandchildren, five step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren; four brothers: Ren Moser of Mesa, Ariz.; Don Moser of Inkom; Bill Moser of Rockland; and Conley Moser of Twin Falls; three sisters: Lucille Nish of Carson City, Nev.; Juanita Pierson of Midvale, Utah; and Joann Fratila of Sylmar, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his wife, three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 4, at 1 p.m. in the Inkom LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at Horsley’s Marsh Valley Funeral Home 570 N. Meadowview in Arimo on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Burial will be in the Restlawn Cemetery, Pocatello.
