Emma Leila Martin Woodfield, (1921)

WOODFIELD, E. LEILA, June 19, 1921 – March 2, 2004

NORTH OGDEN – Emma Leila Martin Woodfield, 82, died March 2, 2004 at her home of pulmonary fibrosis. She was born June 19, 1921 in Malad, Idaho, a daughter of Edward J. and Emma Hawkins Martin. She lived in Malad and Samaria, Idaho before moving to West Ogden. She graduated from Ogden High School and eventually made her home in North Ogden.

Leila married Howard Charles Woodfield on October 3, 1940 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served as a Primary teacher and Relief Society chorister.

Leila enjoyed crocheting, quilting and crossword puzzles.

Surviving are her husband of North Ogden; one son and two daughters, Alan Howard Woodfield, North Ogden; Elaine W. Story, Liberty; LaRae W. Crippen, Fredricksburg, VA; ;five grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren and ten step great great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents and six brothers.

Funeral services will be held Monday at the North Ogden 12th Ward Chapel. Interment, North Ogden/Ben Lomond Cemetery.
