Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother returned home to her Heavenly Father on April 1, 2002 at the age of 82.

She was born January 6, 1920 in Malad, ID to Daniel W. Thorpe and Florence May Beard. She married Robert Henry Daugherty on July 15, 1937.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-d-ay Saints. Elsie served at the LDS Church Distribution Center for eight years. Elsie enjoyed talking and spending time with her posterity. She taught everybody how to crochet. Her house was always everyone’s home; her door was always open.

She is survived by five children; 21 grandchildren; 63 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and one brother. She was preceded in death by her husband and a granddaughter.

A graveside service will be held April 6 at Logan City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Memorial Mortuaries.

She is loved and will be greatly missed.
