Ella Faye Treasure Jones

JONES, ELLA FAYE TREASURE, June 30, 1931 – October 22, 2004

PLEASANT VIEW – Ella Faye Treasure Jones passed away at her home October 22, 2004 after a short but valiant battle with Multiple Myeloma. Faye was born on June 30, 1931 in Malad, Idaho, a daughter of John and Mattie Williams Treasure. She grew up on the family farm in Downey, Idaho. She was the oldest of seven children and assumed much of the responsibility for her siblings and for the ranch.

She attended Marsh Valley High School and graduated from Weber State College with a degree in Elementary Education. She retired from the Ogden City School District after teaching 1st grade for 30 years.

She married Richard P. (Dick) Jones October 26, 1950. The marriage was solemnized November 28, 1951 in the Logan Temple. They had 52 years of marriage before Dick returned to his Father in Heaven in February, 2003.

She was an active member of the Pleasant View 1st Ward, where she served in many callings with a love for compassionate service. At the time of death she was serving as Primary activity days leader. She loved her little girls.

Faye is survived by three children: Karen (Val) Dahl, Clearfield, Utah; Janeal (Corey) Dalton, Plain City, Utah; and Brent (Jan) Jones, Syracuse, Utah; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; one sister Marilyn (Junior) Naef, Downey, Idaho; four brothers Monte (Donna) Treasure, Aberdeen, Idaho; Bob (Roxy) Treasure, Malad, Idaho; Barry (Diane) Treasure, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Ron Treasure, Louisville, Kentucky; and two special sisters-in-law, Janette (Ken) Dallinga, Pleasant View; Wanda (Gene) Edwards, Malad, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother Sheldon Treasure and her parents.

She loved family get- togethers with her kids and grandchildren and little greats. She loved the Treasure family reunions, the Treasure Christmas party and the annual cousins party. Mom was always the life of every party.

Funeral services will be held October 26, 2004 at the Pleasant View Stake Center. Graveside services will be held at the Malad City Cemetery, Malad, Idaho.
