EVANS, ELIZABETH CHIVERS, December 3, 1891 – January 4, 1983

Elizabeth (Leah) Chivers Evans, 91, died at the Malad Oneida County Hospital on January 4, 1983. She was born December 3, 18891 in Malad to James Thomas and Mary Ann Richards Chivers. She was raised and educated in Malad.

She married William Edward Evans March 30, 1910 in Malad. They lived for one year in Cheyenne, WY, and since lived in Malad. She was a member of the LDS Church, Eastern Star and Royal Neighbors.

Survivors include her husband, Malad; a son, Keith E. Evans, Malad; a daughter, Ledore E. Steffens, Moscow; six grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday at the Benson Horsley Funeral Home with Bishop Clarence Kent of the Malad LDS Fourth Ward officiating. Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery.
