Mrs. Evans, 83, passed away at the Oneida Hospital following a heart attack. Mrs. Evans was born December 15, 1879 in Malad, a daughter of Benjamin Nephi and Mary Ann Clark Adams.

She was married to William Jones Evans November 25, 1897 at Malad. He died October 11, 1958. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors include three sons, three daughters: Carlos A. Evans, Dale A. Evans, Mrs. George (Mary) Lewis, Mrs. Ray (Ann) Nelson, all of Malad; Lynn A. Evans and Mrs. Herbert (LaVena) Bowles, both of Pocatello; 17 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren, and a sister, Carrie Adams, San Francisco.
