Edwin Vaughan

Edwin Vaughan, 74, of 274 30th, died Thursday night at his home of heart failure.
Mr. Vaughan was born Sept. 19, 1893, In Malad, Idaho, a son of Thomas Edward and Emily Ann John.

He was reared and educated in Malad.

On April 7, 1915, he was married to Elizabeth Bell in Woodruff, Idaho. They received endowments in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on March 24, 1964.

He resided in Malad where he farmed and in 1951 came to Ogden at which time he started working at Hill Air Force Base as an engine repairman. He retired In 1963.

An active members of the LDS Church, he was a member of the Eleventh Ward and he had served in the elders quorum presidency for four years.

Surviving are his widow, one son and two daughters, Glen E. Vaughan and Mrs. Frank (Fern) Browning, both of Pico Rivera, Calif.; Mrs. Willard (Grace) Bailey, Ogden; nine grandchildren, 22 great-grand­children, his stepmother, Mrs. Carrie Vaughan, Shelley, Idaho; four brothers and two sisters. Homer Vaughan, Independence, Mo.; Jamil Vaughan, Dale Vaughan, Mrs. Lewis (Emily Ellen) Morgan, all of Malad; Vance Vaughan, Hawaii; Ada Vaughan, Shelley, Idaho.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of Flowers Mortuary with Bishop Harry P. Nasfell of the Eleventh Ward officiating.
Friends may call at the chapel Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday until services. Burial in the Malad City Cemetery.
