Edwin Craig Parkinson, 46, 115 Parkview, and a former Malad, resident, died Wednesday, December 31, 1986 at Bannock Regional Medical Center of cancer.

He was born September 25, 1940 in Salt Lake City, to David Ezra and Ardella[sic] Davis Parkinson. As a child, he moved to Arbon where he was raised by his grandparents, Edward and May Davis.

He graduated from Pocatello High School in 1958 and later attended the Idaho State University School of Vocational-Technical Education where he studied diesel and auto mechanics.

He married Vicky Louise Watters April 6, 1963 in Miami, Florida. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple April 20, 1963.

He farmed his entire life in Arbon Valley, living in Pocatello during the winters, where he worked for several years at the Chevron Bulk Plant.

He was a member of the LDS church, serving as a missionary to Florida from 1960-62. He was Young Men’s president, counselor in the Arbon branch presidency, teacher of the Primary and Sunday school and at the time of his death held the office of high priest.

He is survived by his wife of Pocatello; two sons, Christopher Edwin and Ryan Louis, both of Pocatello; two daughters Karla Irene Parkinson, Logan, Utah; Paula Lyn Parkinson, Pocatello; three brothers; Kenneth Parkinson, Ogden, Utah; David Parkinson, Seattle; Roger Parkinson, Reno, Nevada; one sister, Pamela Parkinson, Brigham City, Utah; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Parkinson, Portage, Utah; Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Williams, Pocatello; and grandmother, Rosa May Davis, Pocatello.
