Funeral Tuesday For Howard Peterson

Funeral services for Edward R. (Howard) Peterson, 52, who died Friday at the Oneida Hospital after a heart attack, were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the First ward chapel with Bishop Howard Neal officiating.

Family prayer was offered by Junius L. Crowther. At the chapel, prayers were offered by Rosell Mills and Paul Mills. Speakers were D. Dredge Thomas and W. H. Rutter. The obituary and remarks were given by Bishop Howard Neal. Vocal numbers were sung by Jenkin Palmer, John A. Jones and Jenkin Jones. Prelude and postlude music was played by May Williams.

The dedicatory prayer at the cemetery was by Thomas Burrows.

Casket bearers were Lester Morris, Lester Peabody, Vernon Jones, Mathew Hill, George Ward and Golden Ward.

Flowers were carried by the First Ward Relief Society.

A farm worker. Mr. Peterson was born Dec. 16, 1906, at Logan, a son of Edward Nephi and Elizabeth Rawlins Peterson.

Survivors are his father and one brother, Samuel Lloyd Peterson, both of Malad.
