Edna Louise Gilgen Stone, 86 of Pocatello, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 4, 1995, in a local health care center following an extended illness.

Edna was born in Logan, Utah Dec. 30, 1908, a daughter of Fredrick Gilgen Jr. and Louise Stauffer Gilgen. She had resided in Daniels, in the Malad, and in the Logan, Utah prior to her marriage. She and David A. Stone were married in the Logan Temple Oct. 12, 1927. They made their home in Malad, then moved to California. In 1945 they came to Pocatello.

Mrs. Stone had been a devoted teacher in the Relief Society in the Alameda 15th LDS Ward. She loved to sew and make quilts. Also, she was skilled in the lost art of tatting. Her garden and flowers brought her a lot of enjoyment.

Survivors are her husband, David A. Stone, Pocatello; sons LaRoy Ariel Stone, Pocatello, Clyde Leon Stone, Dubois, Carl Fredrick Stone, Provo, Utah, and Paul David Stone, Las Vegas, Nev.; 18 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren; two sisters, Blanche Bailey, Magna, Utah, and Irene Gibbs, Malad. Three brothers preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 7, 1995 at 1 p.m. In the Alameda LDS Fourth Ward, 1440 Lakeview Drive, Pocatello, with Bishop Hayden Lambson officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. Yo 9 p.m. At the Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. Fourth Ave., Pocatello, and on Saturday from 11;30 a.m. Until the time of services at the church. Interment will be in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Pocatello.
