Edith J. Doutre, 71 year old Paul resident, died Tuesday, December 10, 1991 at her home in Paul.
She was born December 9, 1920 at Malad, Idaho the daughter of Bernard A. and Mary L. Jones. She attended school in Malad and the L.D.S. Business College in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Harold Roger Doutre, March 8, 1942 at Malad, Idaho and their marriage was solemnized in the Logan L.D.S. Temple in 1948. Following their marriage they lived at Blue Creek, Utah. When Mr. Doutre entered the service she moved back to Malad where they lived until 1955. They then moved to Preston for 18 months and then to Paul in 1957 where she has since resided.
She was an active member of the L.D.S. Church and had served in many capacities. She was also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
She is survived by her husband of Paul; one son, Dennis Roger Doutre, Auburn, Washington; four daughters, Carol Ann McCann, Sacramento, California, Janice Lee Newbold, Fruit Heights, Utah, Donna Marie Kinservik, Bountiful, Utah and Deborah Lynn Babbitt, Oakley; three brothers, Roland B. Jones, Malad, Edward T. (Ted) Jones, Phoenix, Arizona and J. Blair Jones, Bountiful, Utah; two sisters, Mabel J. Gabbott, Bountiful, Utah and Leah J. Schutt, Otis, Oregon; seventeen grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, David, her parents, one sister and two brothers.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 14 at 1:00 p.m. in the Paul L.D.S. Stake Center with Bishop Orlo Maughan, officiating. Burial was in the Paul Cemetery.
