Dyantha Byington Grant

GRANT, DYANTHA BYINGTON

SALT LAKE CITY – Dyantha Byington Grant, 90, died January 18, 1989 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was born February 16, 1898 in Downey, Idaho, one of 14 children born to Stephen Elliot and Elizabeth Jans Larson Byington.

She had lived in Downey on a ranch until her marriage to Guy Grant of Honeyville on November 28, 1917. He died in 1924.

She had lived in Honeyville and Brigham City.

Surviving are two sons, Ernest Grant, Franklin Grant, both of Salt Lake City; three daughters, Mrs. Trent (Annie) Thompson, Tremonton; Mrs. Arthur (Jane) Workman, Salt Lake City; Mrs. max (Guyla) Olsen, Fulton, TX; one sister, Mrs. John (Dorothy) Keenan, Hawaii; 29 grandchildren; 87 great grandchildren; 76 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, most of whom have at least one of her beautiful quilts.

She was a member of the LDS Church and had served in many positions in Honeyville and Brigham City.

She helped establish a school lunch program at the Honeyville Elementary School.

Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Olsen-Myers Mortuary in Brigham City. Interment will be in the Honeyville Cemetery.
