Dorothy Glynn Joy

MCCAMMON – Dorothy Glynn Joy 65, mother, grandmother, friend to everyone, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at home with her family by her side. She was born October 19, 1945 in Beaumont Texas. She was the youngest child of Thomas Ross and Iris Carmier Ross. She spent her childhood in Texas and later moved with her family to Southern California. She was a student at Hollywood High School.
Doe was blessed with three loving daughters. Tina, Tammy and Tiffany, they in turn blessed her with 12 beautiful grandchildren. She has been the object of affection of many, but her greatest love was Jerry. She considered him her soul mate. After he passed away she joined her daughter Tina and son-in-law Mike in Idaho.
In Idaho while working at the Flying J Café she met her best friend Gay. Together they shared many adventures. She considered Gay and her family part of her own family.
Doe is survived by her children, Tina (Mike) Morrison of McCammon; Tammy (Chip) Becker of Boston; Tiffany (Willie) Walters of McCammon and 12 grandchildren; Travis (Megan) Casey, Harley and Presley Morrison. Jamie, Jack, Kelsey, Jake and Kali Becker . Unique, Destin and Micah Walters; Best friend Gay (Tom) Scott and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters; Jerry and her special dog Chia.
Per Doe’s wishes she will be cremated. Everyone is invited to a Memorial Service to celebrate her life on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at noon, at the Lava Hot Springs Senior Citizen Center. Doe didn’t want anyone to be sad by her passing. But to think of her on a fabulous trip, and that she would see us soon.
