DORIS FRANKIE TURNER ROBINSON
POCATELLO – Doris Frankie Turner Robinson, 85, Pocatello, died Saturday, April 8, 2000, at a local health care center.

Doris was born February 22, 1915, to Charles Franklin and Ruth Anna Spain Turner in Arbon Valley, Idaho. She was raised and educated in the Arbon Valley area. As a young teenager she moved to Pocatello, where she worked. Doris had a long sales career with Montgomery Ward Co.

In November 1949, she met and married Robert Lloyd Robinson in Pocatello, Idaho. They made their home at 257 South Hayes until Doris moved to Ridge Wind in 1999. Robert preceded her in death on August 27, 1990.

Doris loved all animals, fishing and dancing. She was a member of the Central Christian Church. She also served as a secretary for the Pocatello Writers League and was a frequent election worker.

Doris is survived by one son, Gary Lynn (Darlene) Robinson of Andover, Kansas; three sisters, Helen Jones, Pocatello, Alma Gower and Maralyn Murdock, both of Boise, Idaho; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her parents, two sons, Calvin Robinson and Kent Robinson, two brothers, Charlie Turner and Delmar Turner, two sisters, Zada Hunt and Eunice Bailey.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 12, 2000, at 11 a.m. in the Henderson-Cornelison Funeral Chapel, 431 North 15th Ave., Pocatello, with the Rev. Roger Bray of the Central Christian Church officiating. The family will receive friends this evening, Tuesday, April 11, 2000, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mountainview Cemetery, Pocatello.
