Donna Facer Michaelson

MICHAELSON, DONNA FACER, August 20, 1926 – December 25, 2006

OGDEN – Donna Facer Michaelson, 80, returned “Home for Christmas” on December 25, 2006, passing away peacefully at her home in Ogden.

She was born August 20, 1926 in Samaria, Idaho to William Henry Facer and Martha Amanda Holbrook. After graduating from Star Valley high in 1944, she attended BYU for one year before serving in the California Mission. She married her eternal companion Millard Hale Michaelson in the Salt Lake Temple on October 4, 1948.

An active member of the LDS Church, Donna served in many positions in the primary, MIA, Relief Society, as well as ward and stake choirs. She especially enjoyed her recent calling, serving as an ordinance worker in the Ogden Temple.

She enjoyed making quilts for all her family and friends as well as for various humanitarian projects, and growing flowers in her garden. She loved to visit and play with her great-grandchildren.

Donna was employed at the Internal Revenue Service from 1967 until she retired in 1995.

She is survived by her two children, Sherry Jensen (Tom), Ogden; and Brent Michaelson (Debbie Zizumbo), Washington Terrace; three grandchildren, Corey Jensen (Amber Terry), Stacy Brower (Tim), and Mike Jensen (Elna Wood); and five great-grandchildren, Colten, John, Kirsten, Whitney and Isaac.

She was preceded in death by her husband and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 29, 2006 at 1 p.m. at the Rock Cliff 5th Ward. Friends and family may call from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at Myers Mortuary, Ogden, and 12:00 – 12:45 p.m. at the church on Friday.

Interment will be in Myers Evergreen Memorial Park.
