FIELDING, UT – Donald Eugene Scott, 76, passed away at his home in Fielding Monday, June 25, 2007. Don was born September 14, 1930 in Newton, UT to Walter A. and Hazel Ellen Scott. He married Lula Belle Thompson of Clarkston, UT in the Logan Temple on September 17, 1954. He was raised and educated in Fielding where he spent his life dairy farming, ranching and raising his family. He served in the Army during the Korean War stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. He was a High Priest in the Fielding Ward where he served in the elders quorum presidency, young men presidency, home teacher, and other callings.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Lawrence, Albert, and Walter; sisters: baby Scott, Winona Jenkins, Bertha Tucker, and in-laws, Don O. and Leora Sparks Thompson. He is survived by his wife and sweetheart, Lula; children: Carol Ann (Tim) Oyler, East Garland; Carl (Laura), Santa Clara; Jay Dee, Fielding; Kristie (Val) Bowcutt, Tremonton; Diane (Ben) Gallegos, Brigham, Dennis (Leone), Garland; Ronnie (Arliss), Fielding; 30 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. He is also survived by brothers: David, Wes, Milton, Lee, Harold, Wilford, and Harry; sisters: Charlotte Ode, Rhetta Smith, Dora Stadling, Marilynn Dahneke: sisters-in-law: Emogene and Alta.

A viewing will be held Thursday, June 28, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton UT.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 29, at 11 a.m. at the Fielding LDS Church, 4375 West 15600 North, Fielding. A viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral. Interment will be at Fielding Cemetery where military honors will be accorded.
